Why does God include day 7 in the Bible and God does nothing on that day?

Hmmm ....... the fact of the matter is that God did do something on that seventh day ….. He rested. So, what in the world does the Bible mean by “He rested?” After all, He’s God and He doesn’t get tired and He doesn’t need sleep, right? There’s two ways of looking at this. First let’s define the word, “rest.” In this case, rest doesn’t mean it was a rest of weariness but a rest of completed work. God was ceasing his activity and admiring His creation. The other way of looking at the word “rest” is such a deep theological concept that I even have trouble understanding it. Basically, it is a spiritual state of being and a place that we want to be. We want to be in God’s rest (I know confusing!) because it is a salvation rest. Oh, and don’t forget, God not only rested on that day but he blessed it and made it holy. So…to answer your question, God didn’t just do nothing on the seventh day, He rested and He blessed it as the Sabbath Day.
